When you start out as a poet, I believe there is a defining force within you that forms a majority of the underlying themes in the poems you tend to write. On your journey as a poet, as your poetry matures, so does this underlying theme to reflect how far you have come. For me a poem has always been a source of inspiration. A sparkling jewel shimmering with the underlying thought. So much more precious than a real gem, for poetry in my mind is magical words, strung together in a beautiful song that touches hearts and minds alike. Hope my Haiku on what poetry means to me resonates with you. (Image Credit: flickr Felix E.
